Description:
Lil Tykes promotes your child's creativity and individuality and provides a stimulating environment for children to develop cognitive, social and behavioral skills. Staff respects the integrity of each child’s ability to learn by addressing the developmental needs of the “total” child. Children are engaged in activities that help to nurture self-esteem, reach developmental milestones, and support verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Trained/credentialed staff cherish each child’s cultural background; and encourage the participation of the whole family in our program. It is our belief that the first six years of life are the most crucial for emotional, social, intellectual and physical development, because of this belief staff engages children in: modeling constructive, positive methods for communicating with peers and adults; activities that assist children to become creative, responsible, problem-solving individuals; creative ways to develop a sense of wonder and curiosity to stimulate a desire for continuous learning; exposure to a variety of concepts in the Creative Curriculum areas of language arts, science, math, dramatic play, music, block building, cooking, creative art and creative movement; “hands on” experiences where learning occurs through successful interaction with materials and peers; self-directed activity as well as group experiences; and a balanced, nutritious lunch and two supplements a day.

I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anyone. So unprofessional and unorganized. Children often walk around with snot on nose and shoes untied/on the wrong foot. 9.5/10 staff RUDE and disrespectful to parents/children. The providers steal other children's diapers/wipes/change of clothes and give to other children. The providers have favorite children, if your child is not their favorite be warned. Director is never around and when she is she's in a rush/hurry to get you out of her office. The owners are so unprofessional and uneducated. To say they are at the VA hospital is sad because this place is a run down mess. Please don't go here. My child has been here for more than a year and I'm pulling the moment I can.
