A very concerned mother

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

On sept 4, 2018 my 3 year old daughter was popped on the head by the preschool teacher Janiece whom i may add is african american female in her 20's. My daughter and this teacher had a close bond but before this incident, too close to where she thought she could get away with abusing my 3 year old!! My intelligent daughter came home and said Janiece was being mean and popped her on her head using the flicking motion and made her cry. I took the issue to director Noellita who seemed concerned at first but for some reason she refused to let me look at the cameras so i could watch my daughters demeanor before and after incident with no cameras being in restroom. Janiece called me on sept 5 and admitted to doing it however she said they were just playing. Me being a mother i disagree completely! Childcare runs in my family and i myself was an teacher and you cannot pull, hit, slap grab or none of that. I Asked for her class to be switchedand for further action and investigation to occur on Janiece. Noelita failed to follow up with me and said her teacher did not touch my daughter and hung up on me. This center is very misleading the teachers and director seem like they care but all they care about is staying in ratio and you agreeing to do psych eval on 2-3year olds who act like normal 2-3 years old. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE NOELITA PROTECTS HER TEACHERS BECAUSE SHE ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY AND THE LOOK OF BEING IN COMPLIANCE. Noelita hung up on me on 3 occasions when trying to look into this issue she is very unprofessional. DON'T LET THE SWEET VOICE FOOL YOU. SHE TALKS A GOOD GAME BUT DOES NOT FOLLOW UP WITH ACTION!! SHE IS THE WORST DIRECTOR I'VE CAME ACROSS. BEWARE OF KIDS PLUS LEARNING CENTER ACROSS FROM FRICKERS NEXT TO ROSES THEY ARE FAMILY OWNED. they never do incident reports but always saying something occcured.Beware!!! DON'T SEND YOUR KIDS THERE!cHILD ABUSE AT ITS FINEST AND UNPROFESSIONALISM!!!

Very unprofessional! Had an issue with a teacher (tawana) hitting my child so it was brought to the director's (nolita) attention and she assured that wasnt happening so I let it go. Then the tawana started giving me dirty looks and rolling her eyes so I felt that she felt a type of way about my daughter and I. Again, this issue was brought to Nolita because the situation should have been kept confidential especially if she claimed it wasn't true. Nolita proceeds to yell and tell me that it's against policy to keep a child confidential when a complaint is made (like that makes sense) then she told me this wasn't the center for us. So if you want a center where you are baraded for having normal concerns about your child's well being by all means choose kids plus learning center. They also hang rude notes all around the center threatening disenrollment of you don't swipe your card everyday.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I entrusted this facility with the care of my five year old special needs son with Down syndrome and truly regret doing so. There is lack of professionalism from ownership trickling down to the immediate contact personnel. They demonstrated lack of knowledge and working with special needs children as well those without. They hire lay people whom work for a simple paycheck. Their employees are not experienced in early childhood development. They have one personnel that has a background in ECD that they rely on, but the remainder of staff are not qualified. The owner is extremely unprofessional in handling situations. She screams and yells in an undignified manner at parents who bring forth concerns regarding her facility, policies, and inappropriate care of their child. They were being paid by the state extra for my son, due to his special needs, yet attempted to charge me an additional 12 dollars an hour on top of the higher rate they were receiving by the state, which is against the law. When confronted regarding fraudulent practice the owner became belligerent and started screaming. My son required assistance in eating, but they left him to feed himself without offering help. They text you often when they do not want to handle situations within the classroom, exhibiting lack of professionalism and inability of staff to provide adequate care of the children. I would receive multiple texts daily telling me to come pick up my child because they were not able to care for him. My child has downs syndrome and is non verbal. He grunts and moans to communicate. I was told numerous times via text he was being aggressive to staff, which I would have to coach caregivers on each text "he's not aggressive by trying to speak, moan or yell! He is grabbing at you because you aren't meeting his needs. Have you checked his pull up? Have you offered food and drink? Is he tired"? They didn't want to do a job they claim to be qualified to provide. In every incident they failed to provide basic needs to my son such as toileting and ensuring he was fed. They run a business for the financial kick back solely and not as a passion in providing quality care for our children!

This place is dirty!!! The toys caked with dirt, bugs, the teachers are unhygienic, and they sent my baby home a mess almost everyday! The food program is a joke, my baby would complain about eating everyday. I dont know where that federally funded food program money is going, but it aint going in your baby's belly. And that director is an unbearable hog! Do not take your children to this awful place if you love your children.
