Ryan School

The BHK at the Ryan center in Hancock is always in such desperate need of workers that they are willing to hire anyone with the right certification, regardless of whether or not they are good at their job. My child has come home with numerous complaints about other kids in the class behaving very poorly and using profanity, obscene gestures, nudity, violence, throwing tantrums and hitting or injuring other kids, and even hitting or injuring the teachers and helpers there. It seems like some of the kids that attend there have some pretty serious behavioral issues, but the teachers and helpers do very little about it because of the fear of legal action. Some kids really should be removed from the facility permanently, but they are there because the facility is so desperate to fill the class to keep revenue coming in. I felt my child's safety was a secondary concern to their revenue!? I honestly think that an outside third party needs to review security camera footage of this place and see for themselves what is going on. Additionally, some of the teacher's there display very questionable integrity. Playing favorites with some of the kids and treating everyone unfairly. For example, making one kid eat all their snack until it is gone, but letting others leave the table early!?!? For what you are paying the place, the childcare could be much much more professional. I don't think they pay their employees very well and that may lead to the lack of professionalism in childcare. I knew one of the workers there personally and she was always so distraught about the way things were, and how she felt that there was very little to nothing she could do about it. I had to remove my child because of the behavior of the other kids. I think that many parents in this area should really be ashamed of the way their kids are acting and take the appropriate steps to correct it. These kids are going on to the public school system where they will be negatively impacting the education of hundreds of other kids with their unresolved behavioral issues. If I were you, I would send my child elsewhere for care, at least until someone addresses these problems. Thank you.
