They want safe, affordable programs, educational activities, convenient locations close to home, and they want their children to have a good time. The YMCA Full Day Child Care programs offer all of this and more for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Full time rates are available at all locations, part time rates are available at Fairborn, South and Xenia. YMCA School Age Child Care Program serves children from kindergarten to sixth grade. The Y provides programs tailored to the developmental characteristics and needs of the children and youth we serve. Programs are mindful that children and youth change greatly during the school age years and activities are geared accordingly. Full time and part time rates are available at all locations to accommodate a variety of work schedules and family needs. YMCA Preschool Education Programs are a great way to ensure that your child is getting a jumpstart in their education and childhood development! Our half day licensed programs exceed the standards set by the State of Ohio by having achieved Quality Star Awards at each location. Our programs are welcoming, comfortable, and in a safe environment providing age-appropriate activities, hands-on experiences, indoor/outdoor play, healthy snacks, and more. Skills needed for a successful kindergarten experience are introduced and supported. The programs use an educational component that supports and encourages each child's physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and language development. The curriculum is aligned with the Department of Education Early Learning Standards to determine if children are prepared to enter kindergarten. Our Preschool Education Programs run nine (9) months, starting their academic year in September and end in May. Two-day, three-day and five-day programs are available at all locations to meet the needs of the developing child.
