One of the worst Daycare I have ever seen, have 3 kids and this one Is a nightmare.
They scam me with the payment Im paying $175 weekly and last Friday I discover that the new payment for my son age "he`s 3 years , 5 months" became $165 so I asked them In this case guys you own me money since his 3 years on Feb. 25, they said no because you leave him sometimes after 5 and I said this not true you never said you charge me because I leave him till after 5, even Its not under our contract, they said no It will not be !!!!
Then they said but from next week you will start to pay $165 "what"!?
I filed a complaint to the social service and I`ll not let It go and I`ll sue them at the court for sure !!
They are lying can`t trust them now at all, Be Aware Be Aware from this daycare and the owner "Benita Taylor" :((((

Please be advised, this is NOT a facility you want to entrust your children to.I have taken care of children for years and know of at least 5 women who were employed here and quit. They DID NOT get fired and neither did they leave disgruntled. However, they were annoyed by the unprofessionalism of the owner and her assistant. The owner and some of the employess are not the least bit interested in teaching your children anything. My heart goes out to the children due to the employees hands being tied. They do not have the tools to teach the children neither are they equipped with the education to do so.
1. Please check the ratio. How many children are left with one adult?
2. How many restrooms are available for staff and children?
3. Check the meal plans daily.
4. Quiz your children on what they learn daily.
5. Check to see how many time pampers have been changed.
6. How much exercise do the children get?
If you are interested in working there please take note:
1. Benefit package (none).
2. Clear job title in writing. (not applicable)
3. Many times the check is not correct.
4. Employees pay for things out their pockets (tissue, wipes, pine-sol, etc.)
5. Mandatory meetings on days off with NO pay.
I could go on and on. There is no need for me to lie about any of this. I have no vested interest. I am a concerned citizen who loves children and people.In reference to the above rating. I only selected
1 star because it was required to submit my review. None the less, I would not have given them that much.

(Glory is Splenda, magnificent, great beauty, the light of God shining through. God is getting no glory out of anything the leadership is doing. PRAY for the children and parents who have no other alternative.)
I have been using this child care service for a while without reading these reviews and i love their service this facility is fantastic and i will continue my service with them the staff are nice and they are very friendly they care for my child as if my child was there own.
The owner does park the car in front of the building. I've observed that the key is always left in the door an the doorbell doesn't work. The staff on Mercury are "ratchet" the facility itself looks ratchet. Broken tables, no organization w the classroom or children and no educational toys for the younger children. Plan on withdrawing my child soon. I don't do reviews but I had to with this Daycare.
My nephew attended this daycare a little while ago and not soon after we enrolled him we pulled him right out!!!! Not pleased at all with this establishment.
I personally wouldn't leave my child here. Just looking in the front room is dingy and dark. I didn't even go back for the full tour. I'm all about first impressions and I'm a good observer.
They refuse to provide the EIN - to file for child care on taxes.
they require you to pay in cash -? why is that?
my son - had an accident in his pants - and no one cleaned him up and was obvious what happened
THEY PARK THEIR CADILLAC IN FRONT OF THE BUIDLING - BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE - SO IF AN EMERGENCY - IT WOULD HAMPER FIRE/RESCUE/POLICE TRYING TO HELP
they keep the door locked- with keys in the door - yet no one available - to open - if in the back.

The last review has to be all lies! I have worked here since Jan. of this year and none of this is true. Ms. Taylor is an awesome owner and administrator. There were some employees that were dismissed for neglecting children, so maybe they are just mad. Just remember....what goes around comes right back around.
As for the daycare, these children are exposed to a solid foundation that all children deserve. The facility is clean and we have fun everyday! To God be the glory!

Pure At Heart Childcare began in my home in the City of Hampton, VA of the year 2002. The vision came to me over a period of time, blossoming from a desire to be an entrepreneur. For the last 12 years, it has been my desire to teach the children as well as provide a loving Christian environment for them while their parents are away.
The goal of our preschool program is to encourage the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of each child through imaginative play and creative learning. This is accomplished by offering a broad spectrum of hands on activities and age appropiate experiences using a wide variety of education principles. Here at Pure At Heart, we strive to help each child learn the basic essentials while displaying a foundation of Christ. It is our mission to lead early learners into the development of self confidence and individuality, so that they can transition more easily into their elementary education and become a health part of society.
