Our family has tried a few different daycares in the area. There was always a big turn over with staff and we didn’t like that there was always a new person looking after our little ones. NKCA has been a true blessing for our family. The kids no longer complain about daycare and we know the staff truly cares about our babies. They are friendly, helpful, and fantastic. A place you feel safe about leaving your precious little ones. Highly recommend!
My family has been a part of NKCA’s program for 1.5 years with multiple children in various age groups. All of the teachers and staff are so welcoming and you can tell that they truly love and care for our children. The prices are reasonable and the choice of two locations makes it extremely convenient for New Kent, Charles City, and eastern Henrico residents. We have 100% trust in the centers that our children are safe every day and not once have we had any reason to worry. Our 4 year old has learned so much in the past year- from writing all of her ABC’s & her name, to learning many stories of the Bible and children’s songs. The center provides several field trips each year along with classroom celebrations & so many cute crafts! We highly recommend NKCA- they have become such a big part of our life!
We LOVE New Kent Christian Academy! Our 3 year old has made so many new "BEST friends" and is always excited to go to "school". She loves her teachers and has learned so much including new songs, dance, yoga, arts & crafts. NKCA also encourages her to use good manners and prayer, extending these qualities in & outside of our home. We're excited to enroll our newborn during the next month and fully trust our children in their care. We highly recommend NKCA to everyone!
New Kent Christian Academy has been a blessing to our family. The teachers are kind and flexible to our sons needs. They are patient and loving. Our son has made friends and is excited to go to school!
The teachers at NKCA are fantastic. My children are always very happy when I pick them up. They are excited to go in the mornings. We have been very blessed to have found such a wonderful group of teachers to watch over them during the day!
The staff is very flexible with our family's individual needs. The staff is very accommodating and always make my kids feel special! I love that they learn Christian principles as well as all the skills needed to prepare them for Kindergarten!
We have two kids at NKCA and have really enjoyed them going there. The staff is great, they are good about letting you know if there is an issue and also sending home announcements. We are very happy here (:

About the Provider
New Kent Christian Academy wants to offer a godly alternative to other educational options available. We are committed to providing a quality Christian education in a caring spiritual environment with the desire to assist families in evangelizing and discipling their children in biblical truth and the Christian faith. We also seek to set aside denominational distinctive and in the spirit of love, unity and liberty function as a preschool operating as a spiritual and educational resource to the greater community of our surrounding area.
Curriculum Overview Our curriculum, although it will vary depending on age, is guided by the following underlying principals of active learning: Children learn through dynamic investigation Learning comes from open-ended experiences Adults are facilitators of children’s learning Weekly Preschool Theme Each week we will be having a new theme for your children to enjoy throughout preschool. All of the fun themes this year will be based off of a 'Letter of the Week', where we will dig into learning the letter with fun activities and games.
