my daughter enrolled my super cheerful, confident and friendly 4yr old granddaughter in emanuel lutheran's preschool last june.. but from day one she was told by the kids that she talked funny, wasn't pretty, dressed stupid and told 'no one likes you'
where were the teachers? why are they not teaching manners and whats right and wrong?
so now every morning my confident grad daughter is insecure about what she should wear, how she should act and if she should even talk!
my daughter is besides herself and told the teachers she needed to talk to them asap but they said they were busy and to make an appointment, but before she could meet with them her daughter told her that after their naptime one of the boys dug his hand into her private parts and wouldn't stop even when she and 2 of his friends told him to stop. she said she pushed him away and ran to the other side of the room.. she didn't tell the 2 teachers because they were talking to each other and not more than 10' away while it was happening!
why weren't the teachers keeping an eye on the kids?
she finally made an appointment and talked to a teacher and told her the concerns she's had along with this last horror, and the teacher started making excuses saying well, this is the age where children are verbalizing their feelings and very inquisitive and made it seem as no big deal! she did talk to both the kids and that the boy said he was sorry and she'll talk to his mother but 'laughingly' said his mother will not be happy.. what?!
then she talked to the director who said 'sometimes when kids become close friends they are overly demonstrative' ! she was sympathetic but dismissive and nonchalant over her concerns..
she immediately pulled her daughter out of the pre-school and is now searching for another.
bullying is a learned action and unfortunately its already happening and being ignored by the director and teachers in this pre-school..
molestation is a learned action and this boy is being subjected to this act and needs immediate help..who knows how long he's been doing this to others?
the director and teachers at the pre school who are supposed to be watching out for the children are inattentive, preoccupied and not doing their job.. this is unacceptable
