I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how horrible my experience has been with this school.   A year before my son was old enough to attend (they start at 18 months), we were put on the waiting list.  We were supposed to start October 3, 2011 and came to the school for an hour on September 21st to have him meet the other children and get used to his environment.  The following day we received an email from the director on September 22 (less than two weeks before he was supposed to start) stating that has wasn't "mature" enough to attend.  "Mature" was a direct quote by the way not to mention she didn't even have the decency to call us.

Since I wasn't very happy with a shady email--like most people, I called the director to speak DIRECTLY about the issue.  First of all, she was extremely rude (I want to point out that she was always polite prior to the email).  She told me that because he threw a toy in the classroom and some gravel in the air on the playground that he was a danger to himself and other children and that he could be reevaluated in 6 months.  She had no answer to how a 20-month old should act and said that he should be at a certain level prior to attending their program.  I guess someone who hasn't been alive for even 2 years should be perfect.  GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

To make matters worse, she had to insult me by saying she doesn't appreciate the fact that he comes from two homes because his dad and aren't together anymore.  His father and I cannot help that our relationship didn't work out but to comment on it as if we don't care for and love our child and want the best for him like any other parent is ridiculous!!!

The icing on the cake for this entire incident is that occurred so close to his start date and that we have no back-up plan for his care.  The school NEVER told us that it would be tentative and he would be evaluated first.  They simply said we would start in October.  We never had a back-up plan because there was not even one inclination that he would not be accepted.

All I can say is you better make sure your child can write a college thesis and be from the Brady Bunch before you even THINK about enrolling in this school.

About the Provider

The primary goal of the Children's Circle Montessori School is to assist the child to cultivate his own natural desire to learn about himself and the world around him. In the Montessori classroom this objective is approached in two ways: first, by allowing each child to experience the excitement of learning by making his own choices rather than being forced to do things; and second, by helping him to perfect all of his natural tools for learning, so that his abilities will be enhanced to cope with future learning situations. The Montessori materials have this dual long-range purpose, in addition to their immediate purpose of giving to the child specific information.
