Kiddie Academy of Charlottesville

I sent my infant son here at 3 months old and pulled him out at 6 months old. I will NEVER recommend anyone to go to this daycare. As a first time parent, I didn't realize how horrible this daycare truly is! My son pretty much sat in a chair the whole time he was there. There is NO curriculum, just an automated email to make you think there is. I came to pickup my son and he was lodged in the crib and screaming... NO ONE CAME TO GET HIM! I did it! I watched on the webcam as my son was left in his crib for 45 min straight (that I saw) and was still there until I went to pick him up. The owner DOES NOT CARE and only cares about money. He is rude and doesn't care about the concerns of parents. Please, don't send your child here! It's heartbreaking!

Front office staff is very rude. I went in on Friday last week to get some info and stood at the door for almost 15 minutes ringing the bell before a parent finally went in and I was able to have her get someone for me. No one ever answers the telephones there (I tried 3 different numbers). When I made a comment about both waiting at the door and calling multiple times to schedule a tour, my comment got ignored. The woman who helped me was not the director (I know this cause I asked) but she did not state who she was weather a teacher or registration coordinator or what when I asked she again acted like she did not hear me. I asked for pricing for 3 of my children and she seemed bothered. Just very bad experience first thing I went there which is why I left in the middle of her explaining the curriculum and will not recommend anyone take their children to be cared for by unfriendly staff.

Pros: New facility, Spacious

Cons: High turnover, Mixed classrooms of kids of different ages (Safety hazard), Inexperienced staff
