My child attended the daycare for a year and half. She began attending the daycare at 6 weeks old and she was very fond of the staff. I really loved the daycare and I felt they done an awesome job with my child. She loved being dropped off everyday; however, shortly after moving up to a new class, she began crying everyday when being dropped off. She began holding her breathe and the staff would tell me on multiple occasions they would have to get her an d take her over to the baby class bc she would be crying so much. One day I walked in the daycare early and witnessed the employee pop my child in the mouth. Law enforcement was notified and an investigation was conducted. The daycare was demoted one star; however the employee was not charged bc the DA did not feel my word alone was enough evidence and my child did not have any marks on her face nor did she cry. I can't say if she would have cried out not bc as soon as I seem the employee pop her I began screaming and yelling. I did remove my child from the daycare. I have 3 children with my oldest being 15 and this was my very first daycare experience. I was off nervous at first but that went away quickly after I seen the bond my baby formed with some of the staff. The second word she learned to say was one of the employees names. I never had a problem with the daycare and never once did I think somebody would be abusing my child there; however, I was fooled!!! I can't honestly say if the other employees knew what was going on or not. I can only say what I know to be the facts and I know my child was being abused because I witnessed the abuse. In my case one bad apple spoiled the bunch rather all the apples were rotten or not!!!
