I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Great daycare/nursery. Staff is wonderful, and would describe the classes such like montessori teachings. Miss. Camille (director) gives great insight about your child and knows everyone by name. I definitely recommend this daycare for many reasons and best for those parents to come in and take a tour for yourself. My toddler loves his teachers and has learned so much in the last few months. We are so grateful for His Kids Daycare.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My child has been in this facility for 3 years. Loved this place at first for how clean it was and how organized it was and how much the teachers cared for the kids. A new director has taken over in the past year and things seem to have gone down hill. Her (the director) communication skills are non-existent unless money is involved. My tuition rates have only gone up as my child has gotten older. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. The new director imposed a yearly supply fee and at the same time managed to acquire iPads for the teachers. They my not be connected at all but with the total lack of communication it seems coincidental. Funny that we have seen less art work come home since that fee as added. We get almost no art work home anymore. I emailed the director with my concerns about the supply fee and a few other things and received NO response. A few wees later we confronted her about it and she claimed to have never received it and ask we send it again. We did. NO response again. We confronted her again and she still claimed she never received it. She looked while we were standing there and found it in her junk file. OK, understandable. However, she still NEVER responded. When our child's teacher told her we were trying to contact her she told the teacher we were lying and that we had not tried to contact her. WOW. And that from the director of a church day care. When she was actually there she would walk right past us without speaking to myself or my child. I expect a great deal more from a director. There has been a huge increase in the teacher turnover. No consistency. The tension in the environment has increased tremendously. I was seeing my child's teacher there in the morning but she was not the one posting his updates. I found out by asking around that teachers were having to cover other classrooms. Again, no communication as to why teachers were leaving or staying for such a short time. A week before I decided to pull my child out I walked him to his classroom and when I walked in the classroom was a wreck. Toys were every where. They had been in the classroom less than 30 minutes. There are cubbies near the door that create a little foyer area. As I walked in the "floating teacher" was sitting at a kids table with her back to the door. She could not see what was going on in the rest of the room. She could not see past the cubbies. She could not see if a child was hurt, choking or walking out of the room. She turned and looked at me and smiled a little and turned back around. She didn't speak to me or my child. That is when I decided to pull my child out and look for new child care. Now that I had finally made the decision to pull my child out of this facility I waited until the last day to tell the director. I feared facing those teachers that we love and didn't want my child to be treated any different. When my husband spoke to the director her response was "OK". That's it!! No care or concern. No questions about why. She didn't care. We asked for a copy of his records to be ready at the end of the day. That was not done. We had to wait past closing time for the assistant director to do it. We were not asked to do the usual exit survey. Not sure why. I later found out from talking to other parents and teachers that she fired my child's teacher that day even though the teacher had previously put in her resignation a week or so prior. FYI his teacher was awesome. The director was also telling some of the parents and staff that my child's teacher just walked out and that she was convincing parents to pull their children out. My child's teacher had no clue we were pulling him until the day before. A person with this attitude and mind set should not be allowed to work with children. This is really heart breaking because there are some great teachers there. Some had treated my child like their own. Brittany, Mary, Yvette, Loretta, Hazel, Pat, Tina and some others. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone until management changes and someone with more love of children and better communication skills (among other things) takes over. I hope for the sake of the staff and children that this place turns back around because it really was great until recently.

His Kids Daycare & Learning Center is located on Normandy Boulevard in west Jacksonville along Interstate-295.

The main building is jointly used by all church ministries, as needed, week by week throughout the calendar year. Each classroom enjoys its own spacious air-conditioned room equipped with computer access to enhance instruction. Included on the campus is an indoor gymnasium facility. The collegiate-size gym is used for sports programs. There is also a dining area. A computer lab is available for resource by Toddler, Two Year Old, and Preschool use.

His Kids Daycare & Learning Center is licensed through the state of Florida and voluntarily participates in the Quality Rating Scale Program which is another level of quality care. Our class sizes are small and our child to teacher ratios are more stringent than licensing requires. We believe this allows more one on one time between the teacher and your child. We serve children ages 6 weeks to age 12. Our daycare hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack for your convenience.
