I have used this provider for more than 6 months

This wonderful school is fantastic! The Bank Street Method is the focus at this preschool. It was a perfect fit for my child and my family.

About the Provider

43rd Street Kids Preschool, Inc. is a private, non-profit, parent cooperative preschool, which is licensed by New York City. The school provides programs for children ages 9 months to 5 years and welcomes children of all races, religions, creeds and ethnic backgrounds, and practices non-discriminatory hiring practices. The school was founded in 1981 by a group of parents. At that time, it was sponsored by the Manhattan Plaza Family Civic Association. Today it is an independent organization but continues to operate as a parent cooperative. A staff of professional teachers develops the curriculum and makes educational decisions under the guidance of the director. A school administrator is available to assist parents. A board of directors comprised of parents of currently enrolled children, and the director, is responsible for policy making. Each family has a vote on the policy issues which are presented at the general membership meetings. Parental involvement is a vital element of the school. This

involvement allows us to provide a rich, stimulating program at a reasonable cost and helps to create the warm, family atmosphere which is so crucial to the children's sense of well being as they take their first steps towards independence.

Common questions

The answers people ask us for most often.

How do I contact a provider I found here?

In most cases the provider’s direct number is included in their listing. When it is not, we list the number of the Child Care Licensing Program — you may call that number for more information, or search for the provider online.

Will ChildcareCenter pass a message on to a provider for me?

No. ChildcareCenter only provides information, so enrolment questions, tuition questions and job enquiries need to go to the provider directly using the contact details on their listing. We cannot forward them and we cannot share contact details a provider has not published.

I run a daycare — how do I correct or remove my listing?

Use suggest an update on your listing to correct any detail, or claim the listing to manage it yourself. If you have closed or no longer provide care, contact us and we will update the listing to show that.
