My 3 year old attends the Valley (located on Leddy St) and has been since he was 12 weeks old. The staff there are incredible and the establishment is always clean. I love this place so much that my second child will be starting there next week.
I first toured the facility and was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the facility. Unfortunately, when my child started daycare at LCo, I had nothing but issues. My child was in the infant room for only a few months, but I had more problems than I expected. From losing milk that had been supplied for my child, wrapping a diaper so tight my child winced while I took it off, not following the feeding schedule given to them for my child, not cleaning off my child when they spit up/drool to the point of irritation around her neck and dried crust left to be cleaned when I got her home, and more issues. I was diligent in providing supplies for them to use with my child, but received blame and rudeness about not providing items that had been in my child's bag with them. The workers and director never had checked to see if the items had been provided before being accusatory. When shown the items were in the child's bag, the facility director would not admit she had been in the wrong. I ran into this again, as I recently pulled my child out of the facility. I gathered all my child's things, but noticed I was missing a crib sheet. I stopped in and was told I would receive a call back from the director. Since I had not heard, I called the facility. The director told me that they did not have it there and I must have taken it home. She kept repeating that there was only one, which I had taken home. After awhile on the phone with her, insisting I had brought 2 total crib sheets for my child and describing the missing crib sheet, the facility found the sheet. I have witnessed the ratios of teachers to children being skewed, as teachers left for breaks and such, sometimes leaving 1 teacher in the room to 6-8 infants. I would not recommend this facility to parents. On a positive note, some of the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and I wish they had been running the facility instead. Unfortunately, my child did not have the good experience I was expecting.
