Lil Rascals Childcare

I feel that I am stretching it with a 1 star. However, when I first toured the home daycare she was very welcoming and seemed like she really cared for the kids. But the environment was questionable because she was the only adult onsite at the time of visit. She claimed the other caregiver was out for funeral purposes and would be back. So at that time she seemed like a very concerned caregiver. So I enrolled my child into the daycare. I knew that I would be able to make as many pop up visits as possible so I wasn't really concerned because I just knew the first thing that I seen wrong I would take my child elsewhere. So upon my child attending this facility for 1 1/2 months I came across several uncertainties. The first was within that 1 1/2 month span that my child was in attendance she had several caregivers that was coming in and out and not consistent with who was around our children. Also not to mention about two or three of these weeks my child was there she was managing by herself about 8 to 10 kids age ranging from 4months to 7 years of age. Also there was times I would walk in and she would be texting on her phone and it would be kids crying. She also had two rooms one was for the infants and one was for the older kids and she would leave either room unattended and also the infant rooms was right when u walk in the door. There was several times the door would be unlocked when I would come pick Up or drop of my child or do my pop up visits. Saying all of this this is not a daycare that I would recommend to no one. I feel that she do not have any concern for the kids and all she want is the money. This is not even half of the things I have experienced at LIL RASCALS CHILDCARE 22411 FM 1098 RD Hempstead, TX 77445

First off, when I first met the director she was extremely nice and understanding about my personal situation. However, there was somethings about the facility and her practices that concerned me. She would change a child and the other children would be surrounding her. When I would drop my child up they would be screaming for me not leave them. She has 1 employee but on every occasion where I came to pick up my daughter she was texting and not tending to the children. The children would be screaming and crying; some unkept. My final straw was on the last day my child attended this daycare no adult was in the living room quarters over seeing the children and the directors daughter was sitting in the living room foundling herself, while the other children were in there as well. She is approximately 6 or 7. I was extremely disturbed at the sight of what was taken place. After this encounter I would never consider a home daycare. My child is now in La Petite Academy and she LOVES IT!! She cries when I come to pick her up and she's learning so much. Honestly, I feel like she does not have a yearning desire to be a caregiver to children it more so about having the income coming in. No offense to the director or owner, this is just my personal experience.
