Both of our children have been attending J4K for the past three years. The teachers are loving and kind. Our children have learned so much and are better prepared for school thanks to all of the wonderful ladies at the school. I recommend J4K to anyone looking for childcare.

I have known and worked with the Schramm/Sauls family for over 15 years. No matter what school they may own, they make sure that the children entrusted in their care are taken care of. They do not hire staff they do not trust - if there is no one qualified or able to drive the big kiddos to the elementary schools, Ms Terri drives the bus because that's how much they care about the children's safety. If a teacher calls in sick and cannot be with her children in the classroom, Ms Terri substitutes because we do not hire outsiders as substitutes that the children do not know. I know all of this because I have worked beside the Schramm family and their staff and the school's philosophy has always been that they consider all children "their children". Since Mr Wally and Ms Connie have had to step down from the school due to Mr Wally's illness, I know for a fact that Ms Terri and her team have worked endlessly to keep the family environment present that they have prided themselves in for over 22 years. To read some of these reviews is - well - quite ridiculous. Ms Terri is the food program manager at this school - she does not pick food off the floor and serve it to the children. Actually she is quite overzealous about the food program. She is the most strict (yet fair) director that I have known. She is a rule follower and enforcer of the school policies and procedures and as a former Assistant Director that is a thankless job and not so much fun when dealing with administrative issues. However that is her job -- whenever I see a negative review on this school I always see money behind it. Whenever there is a conflict in the front office regarding money, you can bet a negative review will follow. I have been in the school office and witnessed it with my own eyes. Just 4 Kids does not unilaterally impose any fees on parents - however if you do not pay your weekly child care payment on time there is a late fee; if you are late picking up your child, there are late pick up fees; if you pull your child out of school without giving a one week's notice of withdrawal you will be charged for a week. However on the up side the Schramms have never charged families a yearly enrollment fee while other schools charge hundreds of dollars. That has always been their give back to the community. All of these policies are in the parent handbook and each parent signs and acknowledges that they have read and understood the policies. However some parents forget about these policies and instead of working things out with the school they leave and write a bad review. While everyone knows you can't always make all parents happy, it sure is disappointing when you love that parent's child with everything you have, that child feels loved and secure and then the parent gets mad and yanks the child out of your care with no notice. The child has to go to yet another new school with another new teacher and with children he does not know and has to adjust to. No this isn't fair - but yes it is reality and is the parent's choice. So to those parents who have written positive reviews on our school - we thank you! Because -- being a preschool teacher is the hardest yet most rewarding career on this planet!

Don't take your kid here. These people don't know how to communicate. After several conversations about this, it still didn't improve. The last straw was when my I picked up my daughter on a Tuesday and I thought she had diaper rash (no big deal) but I thought it was weird that it was not noted on her daily paper report. When I dropped her off on Wednesday I told them about it. During the day it got worse and I was not notified. By the time I picked her up, it was so big that we had to go to the emergency room. Once again, nothing was written on her paper. She had caught a staph infection called impetigo. When I called to inform them because it is highly contagious, she tells me "oh yeah we had a break out of hand, foot, and mouth" which is COMPLETELY different, ALSO contagious and AGAIN I was NOT NOTIFIED. The kid who had it, caught it the FRIDAY BEFORE!! My daughter was out the rest of the week (and mind you, they were closed Monday for a holiday). They were apologetic and even said that, yes, her teacher was supposed to fill out a green form about the rash BOTH Tuesday and Wednesday. But when I asked for a discount for that week, that's when the lady lost her mind and blamed ME. She said that I should have been calling up there to check on my daughter and the teacher is too busy to write stuff like that down. I'm sorry but isn't that the reason there is a report in the first place??? Don't I pay you A LOT to take GOOD care of my kid??? I would have preferred she simply declined my request for a discount without pointing the finger at me. Especially since I have been VERY understanding of their short comings for some time. I understand that kids catch things and this happens but the lack of communication AND respect I cannot tolerate. Beware!!! (I bet none of the parents were notified about MY child's contagious diagnosis either)

We have enrolled our son at this facility twice, he was there from 2 years old to 7, then sent him to aftercare at school and we returned this year because he missed the other kids as well as teachers and Ms. Terri. We have felt like family with several of the staff. I love the fact that they enforce manners and respect. I would recommend this facility to anyone.

If there were a zero rating I would rate them a zero. This daycare lets children run around, nobody watching. They never update the parents. Everything is swept under the rug. The Director is a bus driver, barks orders into a walkee talkee, babysits her grand daughter in the front office and documents untruth in kids files. Nothing is documented except to thewir advantage. DO NOT put your child here.

I would not recommend this daycare to anyone. No communication with the parents. Daycare teachers not experienced. The center manager, Ms. Terry is not professional at all.

I have two children that were enrolled at Just for kids on Losco rd. My husband and I chose this daycare because it was close to our house and the staff appeared friendly at the time. We paid them every week but at least once a month they were over charging us and adding all these hidden fees. There were times when I would pick up my kids and they would be outside with no adult supervision. I seen one of the staff members drop a bowl of tator tots all over the dirty floor and scoop them back up with her bare hands and try to serve them to the kids. The last day my kids were there I walked in on the center manager Ms. Terry cursing at a child (not mine ). I seriously could not believe my eyes. I was so angry that I had trusted these people to take care of my children. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
