Unwanted Truth

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

If there were a negative star rating, I would chose it. Everything described by the mom with a scar on her daughters belly is true. They are very deceiving people, and are more than likely the only ones writing good reviews on themselves. Countless times have I seen these "teachers" on their phones. The children basically take care of each other. I was ignorant, and denied all the reviews because I was desperate for a daycare, but I learned my lesson at the cost of my child. Hopefully the future parents reading these reviews will know better.

I absolutely love this daycare. Read some of the reviews (below) and to the mom of 1 who posted, if your son has blisters from diaper rash...those don't develop in 1 day...so you too have to take responsibility. I have 3 children (of varying ages) and know for a fact diaper rash blisters don't develop in one day nor does it go away in one day, so blaming the daycare 100% for not taking responsibility for your child is not cool. You too have to take some responsibility as well...its your child.
As for the other events, those happened under former ownership. Things are COMPLETELY different with this new owner and I am glad, because I like the facility much better than before. The new staff I've met and interacted with have been nothing but nice and courteous. My children rant and rave about them and cannot wait to go to daycare in the mornings. The director has answered every question I've had with no hesitation and has been extremely kind and courteous to me and my children.
Of all of the daycare facilities I've interviewed and toured in Kingsville, this one was the one I chose to send my children to because of the staff and the activities that take place. Its been the best decision I've made for my children and I stand by that decision.

Definitely don't recommend this place. I basically paid $125 a week for them to mistreat my son. He came home with a rash so bad he had blisters. When I went to withdrawal him, they threatened to charge me an extra 2 weeks for not leaving a 2 week notice before pulling him out. Are you kidding me? Save your money and save your children from the horrible memories.

Only my personal accounts with an honest opinion for those interested in some background information on this daycare:

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Honestly, I was thrilled to have found a spot for my children especially when the owner sounded genuine and well educated. Looks can be deceiving. Her staff isn't as wonderful as they make you believe either. Lack of training and education is evident upon further inspection.

I had several bad encounters from rude employees to bringing my baby home with a small circular stab wound on her belly. She was obviously bleeding yet as always "no one saw anything". Sure they wrote minor incident reports to cover themselves but then if others could be hidden, there wasn't anything to be written.

Workers can be seen on their cellphones at all times especially during outdoor playtime. Try driving by unexpectedly to see for yourself or arrive early and park at a distance before picking your kid up. As soon as parents start pulling up, cellphones start to be put away. Odd sight when a child care teacher is sitting in a corner floor sipping a soda and scrolling her phone while all the kids are huddled on the opposite end outside, playing with a hairy caterpillar by themselves. Once a coworker was called by a neighboring business explaining her child wandered into their office. He'd apparently left the fenced gate during outdoor playtime and walked around the corner to the next building. Not sure how that turned out but it was a good thing she new people working next door.

Several co-workers, friends and acquaintances have shared the same experiences. Sadly, some of us don't have the luxury of staying home with our children and it's difficult finding a place in town that we can trust. Not many options in a small town with huge waiting lists.

I don't recommend this place but if desperate and dire need. Caution: few pretty 2-minute crafts made by children are hung on walls to impress parents, but behind them is a day of poorly scheduled activities if any, television time in class and terribly supervised outdoor play. I too fell for the distractions. Honestly, just wanted to share hoping others don't meet the same guilt I still have for placing my child in their hands. The little scar on her belly is my daily reminder that I should have been more cautious.
