Grins-N-Giggles Playhouse

My son started out in the baby room. He was coming home in dirty diapers and a rashed bottom on a regular basis. I brought this to his teachers' attention, as well as the director and owner of the daycare. One day I went to pick him up, and one teacher, Melissa, was changing his dirty diaper I observed her doing so and noticed she was not cleaning his bottom completely, and pointed it out to her. She then became very rude and walked out of the classroom! I spoke with the director, Lisa, before leaving about the issue, then called the owner, TJ, after I left. They switched my son over to the toddler room, and everything has been great! My son hasn't left the daycare with a dirty diaper since, nor has had a rash since. A little over a week ago his new teacher, Mindy, informed me she was going to be out for vacation for two weeks, and that they would be switching classroom and teachers around for that time. I talked with the owner and asked for her to inform me in advance if the previous teacher, Melissa, I had issues with would be in his class, that way I could make temporary arrangements for him to be somewhere else. She told me that they had already worked it out to where Melissa would not be in his class. Well... today I go to drop him off and the owner and Melissa both were in his class. Without making a big fuss, I asked the owner if the other teacher would be staying in his class. The owner then got very snappy and rude with me. I have liked this daycare for most the time, but to keep someone as an employee that doesn't properly care for the children, and treats the parents like crap is ridiculous!! And to be the owner as well and not follow the parents simple instructions is absurd!! I will miss Mindy very much and I know my little man will as well. But I will not keep him in a environment where we cannot be respected!!

My child enjoys his time at Grins and Giggles. He amazes us with how much he has learned in the 30ish days he has been attending. I definitely would recommend any parent to enroll their child here. Great staff, cute place and affordable.
