DO NOT GO HERE. My son was assaulted and they have several violations. The only reason they are open is because the daycare system is failing our children.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this day care! They have ruined me for all other child care providers - which is bad because we just moved out of state and nothing compares to Care a Lot! They were positively wonderful with our son Matthew. He had a Dairy Soy allergy and they worked with us to ensure that he got the nutrition he needed without exposing him to allergens. They are breast feeding friendly so I could send in breast milk and even stop by on occasion to nurse him. They were willing to use washcloths instead of wipes because he would break out (part of his allergy) otherwise. I didn't have to provide food - they made it themselves to match his dietary needs. They did so many creative art projects with him, and it gave me ideas of what to do with him on the weekends. As a first time parent - this was so helpful. I felt like I had a support system for Matthew and help determining what was normal, not normal, what I should and could do with him. The best part was he loved it there! It was a joy to see how happy he was with Miss Kaylee and all the Care a Lot staff! They cared about him as if he was their own child. He loved going there which made it so much easier to send him to day care and go back to work. They help the babies make birthday cards for the parents and christmas and mothers and fathers day gifts as well - such sweet keepsakes. They make portfolios of your child with pictures of moments you miss while at work and artwork the kids have done - even when they are babies they are finger painting in home made organic safe finger paint. These portfolios are such wonderful keepsakes for the parents. It is wonderful that they take the time for it. I am of an age where it seems all of my friends are having babies so there are several of us with children aprox the same age and I must say that Matthew is more advanced than his peers in several aspects and I attribute it all to Care A Lot and the work they do with the children. He walked at one year, he uses baby sign language, he feeds himself, he uses crayons and many of my friends children do not and they are a month or two older than him - they do not go to Care a Lot. It is not Matthew - and it is not my parenting - it is the work Miss Kaylee and Miss Stacey and Miss Laycee and Miss Jessica and Miss Jackie - the whole Care A Lot Staff do with our children while we are working.
Honestly I cannot stress enough how much I love this Day Care. I recommend it to everyone I worked with ( I am a teacher) that had kids. The teachers loop with the kids so they have the same teacher as they move through the rooms which is great for the children as they get used to one teacher and get to stay with her. The ratios are small so the children get lots of individualized attention and they get to really know the moods and behaviors of your child so they can tell when something is wrong. They welcome you to call and check on your child whenever you like and they call you when they think something is off - just to let you know - even when it turns out to be nothing. It brings such piece of mind knowing that they are so vigilant and watchful. They are flexible too. If you have to change a drop off time or add a day - you can. They also call you if your child doesn't show up on time. If your child is sick and you keep him home, but forget to call, they call you. This is great because it means they are checking on your child. We all read/hear about those horror stories where kids are left in cars... thanks to Care A Lot's policy, that doesn't happen for their children. If you are 30 minutes late, they are calling, and they will keep calling until they find out where your child is.
Stop your searching and choose Care A Lot. You will be glad you did. Your child will be loved. They will love going there. You will be happy to see them growing and learning and playing and it will make it some much easier to send them away from you and go to work each day. Say hi to them for me - Lauren B.
