Kidz Karousel Academy East

One of the hardest decisions you will ever have to make as a parent is who to trust with your most precious valuables, your children. I have had the pleasure of sending my child (children) to Kidz Karousel Academy, Mandeville for several years. The stimulating environment is the perfect place to foster creativity, exploration, and growth. The staff is enthusiastic about teaching and, I believe, TRULY cares for my child. In turn, I have found that my children are enthusiastic about learning and, I KNOW, truly care for the teachers and staff there. I have found Kidz Karousel to be a safe and nurturing “home away from home” for my children. In a school district like St. Tammany, we are all concerned with the rate in which our children learn and their school readiness. From experience, children leave the Kidz Karousel program more than prepared for Kindergarten. My daughter’s elementary school teacher told me once that she could tell the children that came from their program during their evaluation. The curriculum is age appropriate, yet challenging. The directors and owners are available for questions and concerns any time and are open to feedback and constructive criticism when necessary. I love that the staff know me, they know my spouse, they know my children, and they know our story. This helps them to interact with my children on a very personal level that just works! It is such a relief to part with my child each morning knowing that she is in great hands. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kidz Karousel!

I've had my child enrolled in Kidz Karousel in Mandeville for almost a full school year, and am also decent acquaintances with several of the other instructors here aside from my child's. Several things alarm me about this facility, so much so that I've recently decided to pull my child from attendance here. First, the school has recently apparently been making quite a few staff changes, the most concerning of which were some of the most talented and trustworthy teachers at this location. I've heard word that these staff changes were a bit shady and certainly not voluntary. Several parents that I am acquainted with, as well as myself, are also upset because they were not notified of these changes in their children's curriculum or teacher, and we are nearing the end of the school year! Who are these new teachers and where is the staff we know and love? The administration seems far from willing to divulge this information, and in fact are very nonchalant about our children's education and the changes in their classroom schedules and routine. I am not happy about this, and my wife and I will not be putting our trust in these Kidz Karousel centers again. There are too many better options in the area, and ones far more worth our high tuition.
