I had a HORRIBLE experience recently attempting to enroll my son in this preschool. The director, Vivian, initally came off warm, friendly and happy to have my child. After verbally accepting him into her program, I withdrew my deposit at another school and was very eager to give her my forms and deposit. I was very straightforward when I informed her that my son was approved to recieve SEIT services (which is very common in preschools ) and she asked me to bring him in to see the school and to see his reports from his evaluations. On our second phone call she said he was "penciled in" and they had a spot for him but shed like to meet him first. She also asked me if I believed he needed extra support aside from the SEIT and I said no. I shouldve seen that as a red flag, but brought my son by anyhow. He was beautifully behaved and joined the other children in music class happily. We stayed all of ten minutes. On our way out, the director said she thought it would be a good idea for my nanny to attend school with my son IN ADDITION TO SEIT, as his shadow! Without even knowing my child, she is already marking him as not being able to function in her school without full time support... which she wants ME to provide. She calls herself an educator, but she seems to have a very narrow view of children and wants them to all fit into a perfect mold to attend her school. I felt like my child was on an audition... It is pure discrimination to hear a child gets services and not be accepting of them or assume things about them without seeing how they do first. She didnt' even give my son a chance and judged him from her limited and ignorant ideas of what a child who gets a SEIT is. I urge any parent to stay FAR FAR away from this preschool, unless they find a new director.
