WOW - what a great group of staff and teachers; always engaging the children...they have grown beyond my expectations in their readiness skills for kindergarten. The management staff seem to always go above and beyond, very supportive and knowledgeable. Very much a positive, loving and safe family environment; highly recommend them to any family.
My daughter loves all her teachers. The structured schedule is great and she has lots of fun with activities. I get lots of artwork to bring home. She absolutely loves Mr Joel and I am excited for Miss Mandee as head teacher in the room. The little update emails make me feel like part of my daughters day.
Open Arms new Director and staff have grown this program into one of the very best in the Twin Cities. Having raised two sons I can confidently say Open Arms is one of the most complete and advanced early childhood programs when it comes to preparing children for kindergarten and beyond. The staff are all absolutely first rate and the most highly trained, conscientious, loving, attentive and caring individuals; its an absolute joy to see them interact and work with children. They utilize individual and comprehensive development plans for each child with a progress tracking system to keep parents informed daily. A beautiful state of the art facility with the latest in curriculum and learning materials. If you want your children of 6 weeks to 5 yrs in age to be in a safe vibrant facility with some of the most highly educated, successful and talented teachers and staff that provide the very best programs and opportunities for development and kindergarten preparedness then I encourage you to not walk but run to Open Arms Christian Early Childhood Center (there spots fill up fast and you will want to beat the waiting list)...its where your child will get the best of a loving home school environment.
Please do not go here! I don't usually make negative reviews. However, if I would have read one about this place I never would have gone through the agony of having to go to work leaving my child here. All the teachers do is sit in their recliners and occasionally hold or feed a baby. They don't take off their shoes in the baby area. The little kids just roll around in the dirty salty snowy carpet. Babies are constantly crying and just ignored and there are consistently more than 4 babies to 1 teacher.
They don't teach your kids anything and are always sitting in recliners or with other teachers, not playing with the kids. Once picked up my daughter, who had a dirty diaper dried/stuck to her skin and only drank 3oz of milk all day (in the infant room!) I was told oh yeah, she wasn't thirsty :( switched my daughter at a year old and she loves her new daycare, has learned more in two months than she ever did at Open Arms! Finally she isn't crying every time I pick her up and instead doesn't want to leave. Don't go here!!!
