This "school/daycare" should be shut down. DCF has multiple reported incidents of abuse allegations for this abusive school. The main known abuser is a family member with the church (Jeanie) and everyone on the island is aware of this. Read past DCF reports, newspaper reports, and ask around. This is a horrible case of the "bubba system" in Key West sweeping issues under the crooked carpet. Broken collarbone, broken leg, knocked out teeth, carpet burns, the list is long and well known. Beware this school.
I have seen the teachers sit and watch TV with kids who have been there 30 minutes past closing and the parents aren't there yet. They could be cleaning up but the first thing on their mind is the children. They teach and care about preparing our kids for the future and not just babysitting. They work hard to make it the best school in town and go above and beyond all others I have seen. If my child was that age I know where I would have him!
The teachers have been exceptional caregivers and we give our highest recommendations of this preschool. We appreciate all the care and the nourishing environment that Lighthouse has provided for our children.
This is a horrible school! If I could give them a "0" star rating I would have. I came to pick my daughter and they had no clue where she was. It took us 10 minutes to find her; come to find out was in a back room all by herself! So who knows how long she was back there. They didn't even apologize that day. Ridiculous!
