I have used this provider for more than 6 months

This place is a 5 star facility and learning center in my book. It is convenient and cost effective when comparing the great value academically and learning wise. My wife were deciding on places to put our kids at since we were previously at an inhome daycare. This met our needs and demands very easily.

Our two kids are learning a lot and developing academically so they will be ready to go to their next levels of learning. As with any facility there may be a "kid incident" or two(lets be real, kids are unpredictable wild cards) and they have always handled the situations correctly and efficiently how I would want my kids handled. I strongly recommend your kids going their, my boys would love to be friends with yours!

I am extremely impressed with this daycare center! They really care about the children and their needs. The environment is nurturing and the staff is fantastic! There are so many fun activities for the children. I would sincerely recommend this to anyone who is considering sending their child or children to Morningstar!!!!!

My son's have learned so many new things. My four year old learns a new bible scripture every week, it brings so much joy to my heart hearing him recite the scriptures to me! I could not have found better childcare for my boys. Thanks Morningstar!

Morningstar makes it easier for me to leave my children and go to work every day! It's easier because I know my children are safe. It's easier because I know my children are loved. It's easier because I know my children are learning socially as well as academically. It's easier because it's right off the interstate. Who wouldn't want life to be a little bit easier?

We chose Morningstar for our 4 year old for several reasons. First, the location is great! I work 50+ miles from home and do not have the time to go out of the way in the mornings. The hours of operation are also great. Opening at 6:15...what other daycare does that?!
Of course the price of childcare can sometimes be a burden, but Morningstar is about average for a good quality daycare. The teachers are loving, kind, knowledgeable, and experienced. Our child has been learning to read, write, early math skills, and group work. Family time is encouraged with family projects. Communication between teachers and parents is great! A weekly classroom newsletter goes home every week. A school wide calendar with special events and activities is available every month. We feel comfortable calling during the day just to check in.
As a parent, it is important to be comfortable with the place and people that you leave your child with for the day. Knowing that my child is being loved, is learning, and is having fun helps my day to go by much easier.

I had been a stay at home mom all of my girls lives. It came a time when things changed and I needed to put them in a childcare place so I could finish with my graduate degree. I went and toured Morningstar and fell in love with it! I feel that my girls are loved and taken care of but also taught things and not just allowed to run wild and play or watch TV all day. They actually learn things. I can tell the workers love the kids and my kids love them. It puts me at ease when I have to leave them that I know they will be taken care of. They don't mind if you call and check in. I would recommend Morningstar Child Care to anyone!!!!

My review will what I like to call "piggyback" off of Daphne's negative review.  I'd first like to state that I live in Calera and work in Homewood, so I literally pass 30 daycares on my way to work each day, yet I chose Morningstar.  Secondly, I too, have been with Morningstar for several years now and now have a second child that I also chose to send to Morningstar.  I made this choice easily based off the excellent care that had been given to my older child.  Now they are both THRIVING in health and ability.  My son and daughter are both "off the charts" in height or weight, so OBVIOUSLY under-feeding is not an issue!  Third, it is true that my now 3 month old does not have any of the same infant teachers that my son had two years ago, and thank goodness because the new ones are even better!  Have you seen an elementary school lately?  My elementary school where I teach hires at least 8 new people a year!  Our children need to learn to adjust.  Changing teachers is good!  New, fresh teachers are good!  This is a necessary life skill, and lucky for our children, they get to learn it at an early age!  Thank you Morningstar, for keeping it fresh!

This is a horrible day care center. It is absolutely not living up to the reviews that I constantly see posted. My LO has been at this facility for about a year and I can't tell you how many different teachers she has had. The center has a very high turnover rate for employees. I've personally seen teachers yell and grab children. When I went to the director, NOTHING was done. The children are under fed and the staff is less than helpful. Please take this from a parent that has been at this facility for some time now, DO NOT send your child here.

My husband and I LOVE Morningstar Child Care. My 2 boys love going too. I have one in 3K and one in 4K. My oldest loves all the activities and looks forward to going to "school" everyday. I love how they prepare the children for kindergarten. In the 5 months that my children have been going there, they have learned so much. All the teachers and directors are amazing. Everyone is always so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. I recommend Morningstar to anyone.

The best daycare ever!  I am a single mom of 3 kids who all go to Morningstar and they all love it.  They love their teachers and look forward to school every day.  The teachers and directors go above and beyond to make school fun for my kids.  Everyone treats my kids like they are part of their family and I have never had to worry about them while I'm at work.  I would recommend this daycare to anyone!

Developing young minds has never been about doing worksheets and sitting at a desk. Even though the latest research in child care  and brain development makes this clear, all you have to do is think back to the teachers you loved in school.  Weren’t they the ones who made the subject they taught come alive?  When you tell "your story", aren't those the teachers who shaped your life?

We’ve dedicated more than 30 years to the safety, nurture and development of preschool children and the child care industry.  Along with our proprietary Learn-At-Play®, we use Frog Street Press® Handwriting Without Tears®, and other curriculum tools to create an almost endless variety of learning opportunities that make children giggle with delight while they systematically acquire the skills that will make them successful in school and beyond.
