About the Provider

The YWCA Children’s Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital is located inside the hospital campus. In addition to our traditional center, the Abbott Northwestern location is home to the Somali and Spanish Child Care Bungalows, where children of various ages are taught in Spanish or Somali language immersion bungalows. Neighborhood residents work in the bungalows, learning the business of child care. When participants complete the program, they are ready to open high-quality, licensed home daycare centers to support themselves and their communities.
