Had our child in PPEDCS for one semester and it was enough. They operate under the legal 10 kids to a teacher, but really have little control over the kids. Most times at pick up time I arrived to find kids running and yelling with little interaction from the adults. Several times when arriving I found one of the teachers texting on a phone without even watching the kids. This happened both inside and outside while on the playground. Things happen fast with 3-5 year olds and attention must be centered on them to stop something before an accident happens, not on a smart phone.
The kids use adult washrooms of the church mostly though there is one smaller child size washroom there. So in order to use the sinks the kids use 1-2 foot high stools, the round ones we have all seen in librarys with rollers on the bottom that compress when someone stands on them. Well, the kids get on these when using the adult sinks by themselves. Our child leaned forward for the faucet and the stool slid backwards making him fall and hit his head on the sink. Very dangerous IMO and no place for unsupervised kids. I was also told by DCFS that this facility was not licensed by the state as churches do not have to be. So I have no idea if anyone there has had backround checks or if there are safety inspections. Much more, but I dont recommend this facility one bit.
