I have 3 children and have tried multiple schools/day care centers in the Clear Lake Area for the past 12 years- this is the most exceptional school I have ever seen!!! The owners do an amazing job with staffing and the school has incredible teachers- the long term academic benefits to your children will be immense. My oldest in is GT and the WAVE magnet school program as a result of the incredible academic foundation this school provided. I just transferred my youngest child here after spending 2.5 years at a local MDO program that is very well meaning but with non-existent academics. She is over 4 years old and was never taught how to use a pencil at her old school. Within her first week at Star Montessori School, she has learned to write and learned phonics - things her other school never taught her. I honestly wish I had moved her sooner. Their prices are very reasonable and include lunch - plus they are open on school holidays which wasn't the case at the MDO program I had my child in. One of our friend's children attended this school and was taught reading, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions before starting kindergarten. If you want the best academic environment for your children in the Clear Lake Area, I highly recommend Star Montessori School.
