Description: The YMCA school age philosophy stated that school-age children need a safe, stimulating environment during their out of school time where they can develop in a positive manner. Staff fosters this development by offering age appropriate activities that include social, physical, creative and emotional opportunities for growth. School-age children are an integral part of the curriculum planning and implementation and are empowered to make their own choices regarding the way they spend their out of school hours.
