Description: Camp is a beautiful place; a world created and maintained for children. A supportive community of young people and dedicated staff work together to ensure that each individual has the opportunity to reach their potential through development of the spirit, mind, and body in an outdoor environment. The heart of the YMCA Camp experience is found in the activities of a small, close knit group of campers, who, with their counselor, plan and carry out a large variety of age appropriate and progressive activities. Woodson YMCA camp programs run at all 4 of our locations (depending on age and type of camp). Taking the children away from the city and into a special moment in their lives, which they will remember forever, camp offers unique playgrounds, challenges at the marksmanship ranges, games in the fields, and adventures on the river. All in a secure world where new friends can be made, stories can be told, and campfires can be enjoyed.
