Description: The YMCA Afterschool Program offers a family-centered, values-based program for kids at local elementary schools in the Medford, Phoenix-Talent, and Central Point school districts. The afterschool program is offered for children in kindergarten to sixth grade. Program components include physical education, homework assistance, art, science, recreation, character development and more. A healthy snack is provided every day. We work together with schools and families to help balance the needs of each individual child. Staff members are positive role models who ensure that children are given a unique mix of activities that focus on Developmental Assets and engage children in a variety of fun, learning opportunities. There is a balance between academic enrichment and playful, recreational activities. 15:1 maximum ratio.
