About the Provider
Wilmette Community Nursery School (WCNS) provides high quality, developmentally appropriate, play-based educational programs for young children and support for their families. The school provides a carefully planned, nurturing environment that facilitates the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of children who are 2 to 6 years in age. The curriculum emphasizes play, social interaction and creativity, and encourages curiosity and the development of self-esteem by emphasizing the children’s ability to make choices for themselves.
At WCNS, your child’s needs and feelings are our primary interest. Our school offers a place for noisy, active children as well as quiet, thoughtful children—we have an activity guaranteed to fit their mood and personality on any given day. In this stimulating environment, your child will make new friends, discover new toys and talents, and build confidence across his/her developing skills.
