Description:
Here at Watermelon Seeds we encourage students to learn about their world and its many wonders. Using a hands-on approach, we seek to develop creative self-discovery through fostering a child's natural curiosity and love of literature, science, art, music and culture.
We strive to provide your child with a happy, fun-filled learning experience and to help them become peaceful citizens. With our overlying theme of World of Wonder we hope to inspire and excite each child to appreciate all the wonders of their world and their part in the larger world.
Each month, we will take your child on a journey of enlightenment with themes such as The Wonders of You; The Wonders of Art & Music; The Wonders of the Earth; The Wonders of Light; The Wonders of Transportation; The Wonders of the Rainforest; The Wonders of the Farm; The Wonders of Water and The Wonders of Your Back Yard. Each unit, as a group, we will open the "Door of Discovery" into our unique large tented environment where the children will first be introduced to the monthly theme.
In our effort to serve, Watermelon Seeds believes in nurturing the needs of our children and our community. We value families and recognize the importance their individuality.

I would like to say my child wakes up every morning asking if it's a 'school day', on weekends or sick days she is upset because she enjoys school so much. At 3, my child could write their name, something I believe wouldn't have happened if they were not in this school. The 3 teachers there work wonderfuly together and I always catch them with smiles at pick up and drop offs. The director is a mother of one of the teachers and both of her grandchildren go to the school, what a wonderful experience for those two children and as a parent I know my child is going to a place full of love and will be treated like family.
The art work that comes home is beautiful and we get a monthly calendar which tells us what we can expect. The playground is natural and the center is play based. They recently added an extended day program, which is so helpful as we have two working parents. They do follow the other schools in the area when it comes to snow days and delays but they always make them up at the end of the year.
I happily tell others about this beautiful school. Just the happiness my child brings home is enough to show us that we made the right choice with this center.
very un organized was told two days before starting there was no teacher. most of the care is done while holding an infant and managing four year old child of their own.
lots of drama, never know where your child should be or if they will be going to school. inconsistent reporting from teacher to teacher depends on who you talk to you get a different story. unable to keep children engaged to maintain order
