About the Provider

Students enrolled at Nord Middle School possess a wide range of physical, mental and emotional characteristics. Their interests, needs and scholastic aptitudes are assumed to reflect a broad spectrum of individual ability levels that need to be challenged. In addition to encouraging and helping each student develop scholastically, the staff of Nord Middle School also recognizes the need to help all students develop a sense of responsibility, self worth and respect for the worth of others.

The major goals of our school are to help students become self-disciplined and self directed in problem solving tasks by instilling curiosity and a desire to use learning for personal enjoyment. The learning climate created by the cooperative efforts of students, teachers, and parents shall provide opportunities for social, physical and academic expression.

We are further committed to the notion that academic growth and ability are not the same for all students. It is our goal to try and provide an environment that attempts to meet the needs of the individual student by enabling him/her to grow not only intellectually but also physically, emotionally and socially.
