Our programs are designed to offer each child many opportunities for intellectual, physical and social development. Children take part in a wide variety of group and individual activities including art, enrichment components, homework time and sports. Periodically, we may have special guests and family events. We offer a quality program that includes planned activities to compliment the school experience. Our highest goal is a warm, safe and caring atmosphere for children.The Wade Walker Park Family YMCA After School Program is administered by the Program Directors at our branch. Our After School Program is staffed by trained, qualified personnel who meet YMCA and state standards. We hire our staff through a careful selection process which includes a criminal background check and drug testing . We maintain staff stability and minimize transition for the children. Our staff to child ratio is maintained at an average of 1 to 15.
