About the Provider
Our activities include a music program and physical education program. Parental involvement as well as community involvement is encouraged by the staff.
The Vilonia School District Parent Center provides several opportunities throughout the year for family enrichment activities. Each day the center has volunteer staff that provides numerous services to the children. Those volunteers include three AmeriCorp members, two foster grandparents, parents, local college students and several Vilonia High School students from the FACS and “Learn and Serve” programs.
The center offers extended day hours for working parents and provides care for qualified children whose parent is activated for overseas military duty. Summer and holiday programs are also available.
The program maintains the highest standards necessary to be licensed as a child care center within the state of Arkansas. It currently holds a highly coveted “Quality” license which is given by the Arkansas Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education Child Care Approval System.
All staff attends required workshops, staff development, and trainings each year. Classroom staff-teacher ratios are lower than the ratio required by the state Department of Human Services. The center provides daily nurturing experiences for children in a safe and caring environment equipping children with skills for positive development.
