I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Poor customer service.

I have two issues:

1. They made me pay $175 in after hours care while I was stuck in my office due to a tornado that was down the street from my office and unless they expect me to drive into it, I didn't have any other choice but to wait out the storm. There was also massive flooding and delays. My husband was on his way as well, but he was caught in the flooding and he drives and H2 Hummer and was up to his windows in water. The campus police sent out an email urging everyone to stay in the building until the storm passed. It was completely and utterly unfair and inhumane to charge me for an Act of God. There should be a clause in their contract that excuses certain circumstances. Ex. and Act of God.

2. While I was awaiting my Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP - a program that helps pay for child care), to be adjusted, they just filled my son's spot without even letting me know.

Here's the story:
My son missed one day of care because it was hard to pay the daily rate of $50 while we were waiting on CCAP to be readjusted. Either way, we decided to pay the daily rate so we could both keep our jobs. So, we brought him back on Friday. I received and email that same Friday from the owner and she stated these exact words: "I received your message about your CCAP case being reviewed. Unfortunately, we don't hold any spots without a deposit which is $200.You are welcome to see how long CCAP takes and let me know when it is approved. Hopefully we still have the opening! In either instance I encourage you to keep in touch with me to let me know your status." I responded by saying "Okay, thank you". When I come in on the following Monday morning, my child's spot is taken, WITH NO WARNING. They never mentioned to me that my child's spot had opened up and that there was another family looking to fill my son's spot. When I asked why they didn't let me know on the previous Friday, the owner stated that she wasn't in that day. But, she had access to a computer to email me the above statement. And she also could've called me from wherever she was, or had someone else call me to let me know that my son's spot was taken. Instead, I come strolling in on Monday (Just started a new job) and to my surprise, my son's spot was taken! It was COMPLETELY unprofessional to fill my child's spot without notice. And if we're talking about our contract, I have a maximum of three days that my child can miss before they can pursue filling his spot, not one. I will be taking them to court. (I know we may have not always seen eye to eye, but this was unprofessional, rude and illegal).
