Valley Christian Preschool

The 2011-2012 preschool year marks theÿseventeenth anniversary of this ministry, which has touched the minds, hearts, and souls of over 1,000 children. The purpose of the Valley Christian Preschool is to provide a Christ-centered?learning environment where children, ages two through five, will have an opportunity to grow according to their spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and cognitive potential."ÿThrough daily learning and playing activities that reinforce the knowledge of Jesus' love for His children, the preschool program is "Connecting Children to Christ."ÿÿHalf day classes are offered mornings and afternoons with an optional lunch for children ages 2 through 5. Valley Lutheran members receive a 10% discount on tuition. Summer Camp is offered for flexible days for 3 weeks every summer. It is with pride and pleasure that we can announce the results of two critical inspections recently. Following an inspection of food operations, employee hygienic practices, and cleanliness of the facilities, the inspector from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health ranked the preschool "in compliance", with only a recommendation to upgrade to commercial appliances, as needed. Also, the licensing specialist from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services completed a license renewal inspection that found the preschool to be in perfect compliance with state regulations for child care centers. The full inspection included a review of policies that govern critical areas such as staff records, children records, safety, sanitation, first aid procedures, and staff/child ratios. Furthermore, in compliance with a new licensing regulation that requires all preschool staff to submit a criminal background check every four years, each staff has recently completed her fingerprint screening using Webcheck, as required. Finally, safety is our number one priority, because only when we keep the children safe and the facilities clean can we successfully achieve our mission to "Connect children to Christ."
