About the Provider
Registration for year-round care for your little ones kicked off yesterday at UPO’s Early Learning Centers for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Bolstered by a $9 million grant secured by UPO’s Office of Early Learning through a grant from Head Start’s Birth-to-Five Program, the state-of-the-art Year-Round Child Care program features National Association for the Education of Young Children-accredited proprietary curriculum, touchscreen computers, a smart board, enrichment activities, parenting workshops and seminars, as well as parent/teacher conferences and family events. Reports of children’s daily activities are kept for the parents at the end of the day.
Highly qualified teaching teams work with the children and families to create a loving, safe, nurturing environment that allows for a solid foundation in early learning. Children’s imagination are engaged using developmentally appropriate activities, technology, health and fitness and character education. Healthy meals are prepared daily on site, and hot lunch and two snacks are shared in family-style dining.
Various opportunities are available to tour the center. Click here for an application, or direct those who are looking for more information about eligibility for all available programs to contact Carmen Herrera, Eligibility & Data Manager, at 202-238-4733 or at [email protected].
