Description: The University of Miami Mailman Center for Child Development was founded through grants from the United States Public Health Service and the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation combined with a donation from Abraham and Joseph Mailman through the Mailman Foundation. The Mailman donation was given in the name of Mr. Abraham Mailman's granddaughter, Debra Jean Segal. The Mailman Center was designed as a state of the art facility for excellence in developmental disabilities education, research, and service. The Debbie Institute was built to house early education programs for young children with disabilities. The Mailman Center and Debbie Institute began to offer services to children and families in 1972.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues.
