About the Provider

The mission of University at Buffalo Child Care Center, Inc. is to provide quality, affordable care and education for the families of the students, staff and faculty of the State University of New York at Buffalo. We are committed to providing a program, which embodies developmentally appropriate practices and principles, thereby following the guidelines outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Through our diverse, child-sensitive program, we encourage and enhance all aspects of a child's development: physical, emotional, social, communicative and cognitive. Our professional staff promotes this development by creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment in which they challenge children to gain a positive sense of themselves, engage in learning activities based on individual and age appropriateness, develop friendships and learn to relate to others with empathy and respect. We seek to broaden a child's awareness of the world by providing a sense of "Home" for children, a place in which they feel secure, comfortable, cared for, and understood on an emotional level. Efforts to this end are always in cooperation with the child's guardians, because we recognize and respect that guardians are the child's primary caregivers. All Center staff relate to children with a positive, understanding and loving attitude.
