Description: Two Rivers School (TRS) is an alternative learning program of choice that emphasizes goal setting and personal responsibility for students in grades 6-12 who prefer a smaller school environment as they work toward a high school diploma. It began as a part-time evening program in 1987 and expanded to its current location in 1997. The school now serves approximately 110 high school students and 13 students in grades 6-8. Two Rivers provides onsite childcare for teen parents, plus access to Running Start, the Washington Network for Innovative Careers (WaNIC), and accredited online courses through the Snoqualmie Valley Virtual Academy (SVVA). Two Rivers School uses a non-graded, standards-based evaluation system where students work toward the 22 credits the district requires to graduate.
