On 02/16/17, Tuckaway terminated their services with us. Our child (hf autism) has been bullied by another child in the same classroom since October 2016. After several meetings with the regional manager, owner and onsite staff, citing multiple examples (hitting, kicking, slapping, choking and daily taunts), they decided it was typical third grade behavior and that we could no longer work together due to "communication issues." They initially wanted to keep the credits we had on our account from prepayment but agreed to return those funds and put that agreement in writing. The owner removed my online review from the company's facebook page and has been attempting to contact us via facebook messenger to discuss "things we misunderstood." The child that has been bullying my son has been at the daycare since he was 2 and it seems like they honor the seniority of things over the safety of other, more vulnerable children in their care. I have several documents, notes and emails that detail the situation and we will be filing a complaint and seeking the advice of an attorney. This is not a great place for special needs children.
This childcare is simply scary. I am SO glad I got out after 4 months (which seemed like YEARS)... took a LOT of me! Bully to children and new coworkers alike, some teachers are safe and allowed to do whatever they want on a daily basis... NOT RIGHT!
