Description: Townhouse Country Place Preschool is privately owned and operated by Robin & Chris Rougelot. They are a Class A Louisiana state licensed Childcare Center located in Mandeville, Louisiana. In 1966, MayGlo Grisoli founded Townhouse Kindergarten in New Orleans at 1307 Soldiers St across from Vista Shores Country Club. Her daughter, Robin received her degree from Louisiana State University in Elementary Education, and for many years they worked closely in early childhood development and education at the Townhouse Preschool Kindergarten in New Orleans. Robin has expanded the program to the Northshore of Lake Ponchartrain, and now works exclusively at the Mandeville location. For over 40 years, Townhouse Preschool has been in business as the earliest education center for many successful leaders in the medical, legal, political, and business community of Louisiana.

I would not recommend this child care center. Our children mean the world to us and our hearts were broken when we picked up our twins both with bilateral bruising on the legs measuring approximately 4 inches long by 2 inches wide. Contusions red raised one one twin. The other still in left in build in tiny high chair and crying with bruised legs when we picked them up. My husband is an accident investigator and engineer who figured out right away what happened. I asked at pick up what happened and the owners friend who takes care of the younger children in the room just behind the red door answered that she did not know. Both of our children where to long and big for this table and there was not enough clearance to get them out. Seems someone was rough and struggling to get them out. Poor judgement on the care taker. The red door at the time also opens 1/3 of the way. It seems to be a fire hazard. They may have fixed this. They seemed nice upon initial meeting. My advice is to seek better care and a facility with cameras.
Staff seemed nice. Children returned with significant bruises on legs. I keep the pictures. This was their first day. They mentioned it but knew nothing about how it could have happened. A few days after developed horrible sickness. Facility seemed like it could have used cleaning. Front door entrance seems to be fire hazard. Does not open all the way.
Mentioned my child was sick and I was told that I could still bring my child. This is when I made my decision not to return bc this was evidence that children were allowed to come to this daycare while ill. This was the only daycare that did long have a long wait.
