Description: Security for you child is one of our priorities. Along with the magnetic front door lock and classroom camera's, each person picking up a child must be in the computer data base.

Write a review about The Tots' Spot, Llc. Let other families know what’s great, or what could be improved. Please read our brief review guidelines to make your review as helpful as possible.
Please do not take your children here. After hearing roomers of the owner abusing children I did some digging and there are SEVERAL child welfare reports against her for her own family members. And if you read the complaints, there are several complaints of abuse of the children at the facility. It sounds to me like she has an excellent talent for talking her way out of things and ALWAYS blames others for her mistakes and short comings. Stay away from this place!
Hello parents or someone else, My name is Lily. Her granddaughter. If you scroll down. Or up. You'll see a review I wrote. April of 2021. I was mad when I wrote that. None of it is true. I'm guilty. I'm confessing. I know that was NOT mature of me. I have no way of deleting it. So I am going to fess up and tell the truth. I apologize for that action. This facility is amazing. The teachers are great. It may not be perfect. But they do everything in their power to make sure the children are safe, healthy, and happy. Lorie ann, the owner. Is my grandmother. She's great. She has other grandchildren there. Biologically and not. Even the ones that arent hers they call her grandma! She is loved there. And the Tots Spot is a great place! They do field trips every summer to the pool on Fridays. So please. Don't take my review from before seriously. That was just an angered, Unsmart teen. I'm sorry once again.
Speaking as a previous employee. I ended up leaving The Tots Spot after the owner Lorie Lough refused to move up my 3 almost 4 year old into the preschool class and was holding him back for no reason...which was my current classroom. He was miserable, crying all the time because he was jealous of me with the other children, not to mention bored out of his mind having to do 2 year old activities! Finally I told her that since she thought he was not ready for her preschool, I was sending him to the daycare down the road to be in a classroom full of kids his age. She proceeded to tell me that my son would be kicked out in two days because he was not smart enough to be in a preschool class. This was on a Friday, and I did not return on Monday. ( My son went on to preschool and did amazing by the way, never was kicked out ) OF course I kept in touch with some of the previous employees and just a few weeks ago I found out something insane! Which is why I am posting now. Her now ex baby room teacher, who she employed for almost 2 years came to me and let me know she had been abusing the babies in the baby room for almost 6 months and Lorie knew all about it! Only writing her up for it instead of firing her! She told me she was frustrated because she was being left with 6-7 babies every day ( its a 4 to 1 ratio for infants ) and couldn't take the pressure which made her snap at the children. Lorie had caught her on camera kicking the babies, spanking them and flicking them in the mouth several times and continued to allow her to work in baby room until finally this employee snapped again. She told a parent what she had done to their child and of course the parent went to Lorie. She denied it all, saying she had lost the camera footage. Even then this employee was not let go, she ended up leaving on her own free will because she could not handle the pressure! Lorie Lough the OWNER knew for 6 months this woman was abusing the children and did nothing about it! This is not the place for your children! Not to mention the entire center is filthy, Lorie treats the children and employees like garbage! There are plenty of other great places in republic to take your child so don't risk their safety and go here! I'm afraid a child will end up dying because of the neglect at this center! Then maybe state will do something and finally shut her down!
Why is this place still in business. After all of the previous reviews listed. Why hasn’t the cops and authorities taken over and shut this place down. This is exactly why it is so hard to find a great daycare and a safe place for children to go when there parents have to teach in the school system. Not to mention a place where parents fill comfortable and not have to worry if there child is ok. When is enough, enough. What is it going to take, a child dying. Like so many other daycares. The community needs to keep complaining to the proper authorities or press charges. I mean if they won’t show you the video footage of your child then something is horribly wrong because they have stuff to hide. Point taken.
This was the worst spoot I've ever stepped into, the owner claims to know how to deal with kids diagnosed with ADHD, not the case not even a little. My son was there for 4 days, when I picked him up he was crying, she put him on display in front of other kids and parents and just let him cry, hurting his hand. He had a hard day and just wanted his momma. He could barely breath from anxiety and I was told not to touch him and that I was the problem, she picked him up and nearly slammed him into a chair for more punishment. I was there to take my child home and deal with whatever issue she had with him but she insisted on taking matters in her own hands right in front of my face. She even cussed at me when I was begging for his meds and continued to argue with me for about 15 minutes, I just wanted his meds so I could take my son home. There's more way more but this is enough.
Sooo.. I'm not going to say who I am, because I'll get my butt whooped, but this place is awful, WAY understaffed, I get knocked down by the manager/owner MANY times, she is destroying children's self esteem. And she let's them watch over rated shows that include cussing. She is incredibly rude to the kiddos, She has these big dogs, that bark and run over children when they see a jogger or hear a train, she let's them poop and pee in the play yard, and more! I do NOT recommend bringing your children here..
Run far far away from this daycare. Its filthy, owner is rude towards staff and parents not to mention treats the children like garbage. We had another child tell us that the owner jerked our child by the arm and drug her to the front office while she screamed and cried. When asked to see camera footage she refused to show us. Stay away from here!
If I could put zero stars I would. The owner Lorie Lough is physically abusive to the children. She has been seen slapping some of the kids and abusively speaking to her own granddaughter that goes here. Please stay away.
Complete garbage, the owner Lorie Lough care's nothing about her employees or the safety of the clients children. If you don't believe me look up her name on MO case net. Staff have been heard yelling and cussing at the children and often children are seen unattended. Complete joke of a business and be aware before taking your children there.
I wish I would have read the reviews before sending my granddaughter to this facility... cleanliness and sanitation is a major problem!! I addressed issues with them such as her being pooped on or not taking to the potty regularly...dried snot covering her face, being bit by other children repeatedly (almost daily). The staff have no regard for actually caring for the kids, they are only there to get a paycheck..after bringing these issues to the owners attention....she accepts no responsibility and wanys to implys that its the child's fault. Which is a 2yr old. I wouldn't recommend this place for animals!
