I would not recommend putting your child here. I also wouldn’t recommend working here. I have been both a parent and employee. I have seen things done by staff and the management that I had to question and was fired because I questioned it. They are not an equal opportunity employer. I was told I was a liar and I had no right to question anything that was done because I didn’t own the business. This company needs to be really investigated
Excellent daycare and staff
Wouldn’t sent my kids anywhere else
I wouldn’t send anyone to work for this company. The owner and director ( mother and daughter) treat parents and staff like they owe them everything because they allow your child or you to work there. They gossip, talk down on employees and parents, have been seen putting their hands on kids, and cussing out employees in front of other staff. Multiple times I ah e witnessed children being yanked up by their arms and taken out of classrooms for simply having a tough time transitioning or morning and the owner or director saying they get on their nerves because they were crying. I have seen the owner in an employees face making her cry because she had a parent call about something she seen on her child’s day sheet. She did this in front of other staff. The director and owner are out of the office a lot and always give certain staff members hard times if they need time off for doctors appointments or other things because it is inconvenient for them. The director will have her friends that are staff members in the office gossiping and showing things on her phone while the classrooms are not in ratios. They will gossip and tell personal business that is shared with them from staff to other staff members when it is personal and sometimes medical and that is private. But they have done it to some staff and they have over heard it and like me had to quit because I heard the owner laughing and talking about my personal life that I had discussed with her behind closed doors. They are not professional and not an employer that looks at everyone equal. I would not recommend sending your children here or working for these two woman. I can not even use the term ladies.
I have used this center for about a year now and I have observed things that are not to be overlooked. I have now removed my child from this center. I also used them for my older child and took them out. The director came to me and praised that things were so good and I should put my younger child in the center. I did against my better judgement. The issues I seen before with my child are still there. The director and owner are hard to get a hold of if you have issues. The staff never knows when or if they will be back. The director who is the owners daughter basically does whatever she wants and when she wants. She denies her staff time off only because her and her mother the owner are planning trips and time off but won’t let staff have time off for sickness. And if they end up having to take the time. The director and owner will talk and discuss and gossip about the staff member that is out to other staff and parents if they see them out in other places. I have had the director talk to me and tel me she wishes a staff member would quit because they didn’t approve of her life style. And this teacher had been there for over 10 years and they had found out she was gay. They disapproved of her partner. This was all told to me by the director and owner when I was out at a store and they saw me. But they let her work with them for years because she had her education they needed. And now if someone ask about her they say she isn’t coming back she quit due to a back Injury. I pulled my first child out due tot he fact I observed the owner herself snatch a child up and yank them to the bathroom because she was screaming upset and the owner herself said she was ready to whoop the child. This woman is suppose to be a child care expert?? The director I have seen this time with my child dragging a child down the hallway as he was crying and begging no like he was a rag doll. That was the last day I allowed my child to attend this center. I would want anyone to see or e experience that at all. The owner and director seem to be only out for themselves. They are always short staffed and the good teachers they run off. They are very unorganized and use their employees who some are great teacher to their advantage and don’t care for them. I would not recommend anyone sending their child there after I have witnesses this. I have even contacted state about these issues and the state told me they have had several complaints of this center but did not have the proof to complete the complaint because the employees you can tell are scared to tell what happened because the owner and director have told them not to say anything. I have to Even spoke to former employees who are friends of mine and found out the owner tells them to lie and not tel them what really happened. They have employees go on the reviews and write good reviews so no one only sees bad. They also ask people to take reviews off that are bad so no one sees them. I just feel there is to much hiding the truth and deceit to allow my child to be in this center and I hope no one else will ever have to deal with this center.
I had a child in this center and was walking my child into his class. When I was approached by what I was told at the time was the preK teacher. She smelled of alcohol. Like she had just took a bottle and poured it all over her. I could have thrown up from the smell. Over the next couple of weeks she would approach and tell me how much my child loved her and was so smart. Again everytime I could smell alcohol. It was everyday. Come to find out from someone who use to work there at the time she was a heavy drinker. I was so shocked. I talked to other parents who informed me she had an alcohol problem and had several complaints about how she talked to students and other staff. And the staff and other parents had already complained about her smelling of alcohol and the owner and director knew of this and did nothing. But they let her do whatever she wanted. One day I noticed she wasn’t there and I found out she quit and walked out on the owner after an altercation with another staff member who she didn’t like. She tried to get that staff member fired because I was told the other staff member was gay and she didn’t like her. I was taking my child in at the beginning of summer and seen that the teacher with the alcohol problem is back with the school age children and you again can smell the alcohol. How could a owner and director allow someone to be smelling of that and coming around the children. It is a liability and causes your center to be frowned upon. I also had noticed the other teacher who is gay that she tried to get fired isn’t there anymore. If you ask they say she is out due to back surgery and she isn’t coming back. I was told by a former parent they fired her to let that teacher come back and they couldn’t let that teacher stay there because the don’t approve of her being gay. This has been told to parents!!! But I wouldn’t as a parent want a teacher who smells like she is drinking all day and had several complaints on her keeping my children. And the owner and director say that they are an equal opportunity employer. There is no one of diversity working at this center. You can tell they think they are above anyone and everyone.
This facility is very unorganized. No one communicates or follows directions that are left about their class. The owner and director are gone a lot of times for errands or lunch. It is hard to get I touch with them. They also are very judgmental. They may have one person of a different cultural but they don’t last long because they make them feel out of place. They also are against the LGBTQ community. The children are unsupervised a lot of times. They have teachers who have put their hands on children and pushed or caused children to hit their heads. Teachers are on their phones or to busy gossiping to pay attention to the children. State has been put before for these issues but they get away with it. How can anyone allow this to happen multiply times and still not put cameras in and want to protect their business. But also these are the owners that are very judge mental and have hatred in their heart.
I was a employee for over 6 years and my first child went here for the time I was there . At first I loved it but after about two years that’s when things started to get crazy , when my child was in the baby room he “fell” off the cot and busted his lip , later found out another employee jerked the cot toward her and made him fall . I was talked down to the point I was miserable , at one point my child was jerked up and taken to the baby room because he was crying , he is nonverbal and autistic. I was told as a new mom at 7 weeks old by the owner my son was autistic at 7 weeks . When I found out I was pregnant with my second child , the comments from the owners were how are you going to do this , did you mean to , not congratulations. At one point I was yelled at in front of my students with the owner so close in my face our noses almost touched . I was there along time and should have left years ago but I didn’t because of the kids I had . I would have called someone on them but they always find out who called so what’s the point
I am a former employee of Tiny Tot CDC and I enjoyed going to work every day! It was my “home away from home”! If you were work there for any length of time you become like Family! I can honestly say the reason this facility is a Five Star is due to their love and dedication to the children! The owner and the Director has always went above and beyond for their employees myself included! With any job there are going to be issues and disagreements. It could involve other employees or in some situations the Director/Owner and when handled appropriately those situations will be resolved in a professional way! As long as you show up (on time) every day, do your job and love what you do and always remember why you chose this field, you won’t have a bad day! I believe in maintaining a positive mindset! I decide if I am going to have a bad or not!
Some employees were nice, most were fake.. ESPECIALLY THE DIRECTOR AND OWNER. I took the job and lasted a very short time before leaving. I couldnt stand the director the most.. who let me go which I honestly dont agree with the circumstance at the time.. even worse.. she didnt talk to the owner about it.. just let me go by heresay of what another employee said. Listen I'm not saying the place is.. unclean.. or the kids arent taken care of because what I could tell of my short time there those things were fine.. but the people.. were awful
What day care kicks a child out without giving the mother any notice. Why? Because she is crying which they have been informed twice by her doctor that she is teething. They hide and use the state as an excape goat when it benifit them. And then ignores state regulations when it suits them. They take your child's pacy away not even allowed to have it at nap time after being closed for a week without even informing the parents. So that on top of teething makes for an unhappy 1 1/2 year old. The owners and directors are fake. They think they are all high and mighty. They have sent my child's stuff home with other children and never got it back, my child fell out of a buggy because she wasn't strapped in properly. They ignore screaming children and not just mine. Please don't take your children to Tiny Tot in Stanley NC. With that being said some of the teachers were wonderful and Emma really loved them. My issue is with the owners and director. directors are fake. They think they are all high and mighty. DONT take your children to Tiny Tot in Stanley NC. Most of the teachers were wonderful&Emma really loved them. My issue is with the owners and director. My child comes home everyday with her socks black from where they allow the children to walk on nasty floors barefooted. Was also told by Stevie in a previous issue that I wouldn't find a place to take better care of her lol
I worked at Tiny Tot for two hellacious months. I was the cook and although I was promised to be trained it never happened. I was appalled at the way Mersa was in the daycare and no one did anything about it. There were numerous children and staff that were hospitalized because of it. Also the lack of cool water for the children who had to play on the hot playground. These children would come in red in the face and almost lethargic sometime. I only worked there two months and I am not bitter,my termination was actually a blessing because each day I worked there I was cursed and verbally abused by the owner, because either I wasn't properly trained,or there was no iced tea for her to drink in the mornings. I was cursed in front of the 3 yr olds and school age children, then she would run out in the hall and pray with the children before their boarding the bus. There are one or two good people who work there, but the others are bust texting on the cell phones, squeezing mersa bumps on the children or online. I personally would not recommend this facility to anyone because of the short tempered people in some of the classrooms. These babies are brought there to have fun while their parents work not to be ignored,or to be over looked.
