H.A.L.O. Child Enrichment Center (Helping and Learning Opportunities) is a DCF licensed child care facility established specifically for homeless children whose families are currently residing in our Emergency Family Shelter, Family Living program, or other local shelters. HALO is staffed with child care professionals who offer love, support, and stability. They work to create an atmosphere which benefits the children emotionally, socially, and academically. Parental partnership is also an important part of HALO's purpose. The staff work with mothers and fathers on improving their parenting skills. The goal is to provide a safe place for children to learn and grow while their parents work toward a secure future.
