Description: The Mill School offers a learning community for
homeschooling children ages five to twelve.
Children at The Mill School attend school three days a week at the beautifully renovated mill in Freedom, Maine. There are twenty children and two teachers in the class.
The children are given authentic, developmentally appropriate opportunities for expanding their skills. The younger children are given time to focus on the work of the young child: exploration and play. They are also gently introduced to academics. The older children participate in literacy and math workshops each day.
