Description: The Little Village Schoolhouse Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten, 170 Pleasant View Ave, Smithfield Rhode Island, is a quaint school that is in it's 10th year and provides a stress-free, anxiety free learning environment for your child. With a low 1-6 teacher/student ratio our little students excel in all areas as they receive one on one attention. Our teachers are professional, soft spoken, empathetic, nurturing, patient and understanding adults with their Bachelors degrees and Certifications in Early Childhood Education. We are proud of the fact that, for the past 5 consecutive years, The Little Village has received 100% positive, hand written, signed and dated letters from 100% of our parents. Many of these letters are posted here on our website. We strive each year for all our little students and parents to be 100% happy. Prior to opening The Little Village Schoolhouse I had personally taught Sign Language as a 2nd language to hearing children in 52 preschools across the state. I had witnessed too many children's tears in tense and stressful classrooms. I knew there had to be a better way and I am proud to say that we have achieved it. Our Preschool and Kindergarten are overflowing with happy children. There are no tears upon arrival in the morning or during the day. The children are continuously praised, applauded, spoken softly to one on one at eye level, they are guided, redirected, appreciated, respected, given patience and understanding, kept safe, they are comforted, hugged and given high 5's ... because that is what children deserve and need.
