I started using this daycare in 2014 when my oldest was 12 months old. In 2016, I enrolled my 2 child. Unfortunately in 2021 they had to close the Lake Panasoffkee facility due to COVID & low enrollment. They have a WONDERFUL staff & have always been good with & for my children. My children are older now & a traditional "daycare" is not what they need. If my children still needed "daycare" I would have done whatever was necessary to make sure they stayed at Hobby Horse Daycare.
Parents steer clear from this daycare provider. They are the most difficult, racist, people to work with. They will not let your child have an doctors appointment or they have to miss the entire day even if you call. If you have a flat tire and call to say you will be ONE min past 9 they will not let your child in, even though you are paying them and they will laugh at you. They will not let your child bring in their own water, even with a doctors note, my child was dehydrated because they weren't giving her enough to drink and the owner refused to take the doctor note. They shut down the water fountain because of covid and have kids drinking FROM THE SINK! They only give juice twice a week. My child was completely potty trained, they don't have a potty in her room so every day she was coming home with rashes and messes and we had to put her back in pulls ups because they are LAZY to take her to the potty, mind you shes 2! The ONLY reason people bring their children here is because there are no other daycares in the area, its terrifying. Parents feel stuck. NO CAMERAS! What kind of daycare doesn't have cameras? You have no clue how these strangers are treating your children and they cant keep any employees theres a new person there once a week, they will pay you minimum wage and work your tail off so of course these workers are not going to treat your children good. A teacher slapped a child in their face, they fired her but they are desperate and will hire anyone to watch your children, I know because they hired a few people I know, its a small town. They wont answer the door for two - three mins and rack up late fees, and their late fees compared to other daycares are insane $5 for one min late and $1 after that double, triple depending on how many kids. They have no website because they don't want parents to know the truth. They wine and complain how parents don't get them anything for Christmas, its because how MISERABLE they are. I have not posted sooner because I was afraid of the backlash they would give my child but if I save one child from coming here than I have done my job. And I will never send my child back here again. PARENTS BEWARE!
