I have used this provider for more than 6 months

To all my fellow parents: I wanted to post what happened to me so that no one experiences what I did today. I had Avi enrolled George Bryan Christian last year and paid her tuition religiously. The school year ended and so did her time there. Then I received a phone call right after Hurricane Harvey from Mrs. Katrina Cormier. She told me that my child has a full scholarship to attend the next year and if I wanted to accept. Of course I said yes because I am a working mom. I thanked and her and then began the school year. I paid for her books because that was not covered by the scholarship which was around $40. Things seemed to be going ok. There was an occasional incident here in there that involved my child Nothing major. Then about 3 weeks ago my husband went to drop our child off around 8am and was told there was no more breakfast being served. The whole school year the cut off time has been 8:15am per Mrs. Cormier. I talked to her about it and resolved he issue. She stated there was a lack of communication between her and her staff. She even went as far as saying that the extended time was out of courtesy because the state told her there was a only a 2 hour window from the time they open for business. Today, my child was bit by another child that was 2-3 years old. Mrs. Cormier informed me that she was there along with another teacher but that my child should of not been holding the child in her lap. Her explanation was prompted after I asked her how this could happen. So she told me she would email me an incident report next week. I proceeded to leave and once outside she called me back inside. I had no idea what was about to take place. I went inside and we basically had a disagreement that escalated to the point where she was yelling at me at the top of her lungs pointing for me to “get out of her office”. She threatened to call the police after we exchanged words and said that I would be the one to be escorted out of her place. And then she told me that she was the owner and she could tell me to leave. I quickly called PCT 4 and was speaking to the dispatcher when she still continued to yell at me. She even said at one point “ you just want me to hit you”. Never once did I get close to her. If you know me I am 4’11. She has to be about 6’ tall. She was in my face yelling at me the whole time we were in the office. What she was trying to do was instill fear and intimidation. Mind you this is a “Christian School”. She acted to unprofessional and selfish. She as the OWNER should of handled the situation differently. There are children as young as a couple of months old to age 5. There is no reason why the OWNER and teacher should behave this way. I want to warn any other parents out there to please do your research before putting your child in a daycare. Know what kind of people are working there. Just because it has the name CHRISTIAN in it does not mean they will act that way. I know I am not alone. I have two regrets, ONE that I let my child attend this school and TWO that I didn’t record the conversation between us. I even bought Mrs. Cormier a card to thank her for what she had done for my child.
