Description: The Child Development Center at Queens College provides a quality child care and an early education program to meet the needs of both the student-parent and the child. Additionally, we provide after school care for student-parent's children between the ages of 5 and 10. Professional staff provide on-campus care and education according to flexible schedules that accommodate parents' needs. The programs offer a multicultural environment that promotes the strength and value of human diversity. Developmentally appropriate activities - which stimulate children's intellectual and creative abilities, enhance motor development, and contribute ot the acquisition of social skills - are the foundation of the curriculum. independence is encouraged by giving children the freedom to make choices. Each child is viewed as an individual with his/her own rate of growth and development.
